Well its a new year and I have found my way back to the blog.... 2007 began nicely with the great macworld and other CES coverage.
Overall I am exicted for the next 12 months for this reason, normal non-tech folk are getting excited about high technology. Everyone is being encouraged with high-def and wireless is not a dirty word. I am very pleased and happy that people are taking a step in the right direction.
What do you do to get rid of a cold or flu?
Submitted by ashenflowers.
Hydrate as much as you can... the more you drink the better your body can flush the toxins out, and the faster you can get better.
Well I have been gone for a few weeks due to some medical emergencies.... I got through them ok and am still alive and kicking, well kicking with the help of some very strong pain killers. But I may be adding more work to the site soon, just when I can find the time or energy......

What was the last game you played?
Dead Rising on XBox 360
Well recently I have not been able to post since work and life in general have been utterly crazy, but I have come to a decision. My life seems to be really cyclic. Not cyclic in a bad way just cyclic, as far as positive and negative situations. Move 2 steps forward, take one back, 2 forward one back. So i am moving forward just not as fast as I would like to be.
Strange thing is this, I realize that there are people in my past that helped me to this stage in various steps and ways and for all of that I am happy. I do wish that the one person that cared the most was willing to see the differences and live life a bit more. Not saying I want them back or realize that would be the case, but really just comfort would be cool. I guess I lost that card a long time ago and am really reaching for something that is just not there, but alas that is my life. Funny thing about that is I always compare people to her and how they react to things and respond and all of that and even through all the bad she still settles on top. I guess at times you always wonder about the one that got away, and I guess she is that reference for me. I think about what would be different if other choices in the past were made, but I have not invented a time machine yet, and cant go back and fix them.
On a different not still sorta related, I am playing Dead Rising on XBox 360. I really really like this game alot. Tons of zombies, puzzles, mall stores and mall related music, and great great fun. I have not really gotten into a game in a while and this one is drawing me in. So maybe this is my cycle to get back into gaming and release some of the work and other life related stresses on some highly detailed HIGH definition Dolby Digital zombies a$$......

I often sit at home on days off and channel surf. Mostly because I try to see what my local and national stations do about show programming and the timing of many shows that have been on for years and how they play reruns of recent favorites off of new shows that are not as popular. SO today during my viewing I saw another episode of Jerry Springer. Now along with Maury Povich he has the most similar show topics day by day as any talk show that I can remember. Today's topic was "Sleeping with my Stepsister". So I had to sit and watch for a minute. The next 10 minutes of my life were spent seeing two sisters fight (like throwing fists, explitives, kicks and grabbing hair) all over the set. In fact they needed two security guards, including Steve to try to prevent the fight, and the two Girls and the security guard that ended up with them all landed on the floor and kept fighting. The funny thing about the story is that the producers were ringing bells that usually start and stop boxing matches. Now the guests started and stopped their rage accoring to the bells. That was ingenius. It just made the show more interesting. Granted we knew what would happen, theyd curse each other out throw a few bow and the man in the middle would end up siding with one of them (usually the one in the worse financial shape) but the fact is at least I kept watching, even if only for 10 minutes.
I think that with all the other things we go through in life, sometimes you need to just see something that you totally expect. Sometimes you need mindless drivel to get your mind off of whatever else is there. You know exactly what to expect and in general Springer delivers. For a while I wondered how he stayed on TV this long? We know that in the mid to late 90s it was all about the fights and the language and the scrambled images of nakedness, but today I think its the consistency. We know what will happen and Jerry makes sure it does. In general that formula works with somethings, while a TV show that has a predictable plot line is usually left in the early Pilot stages Springer journeys on showing us the fight and cursing we love to see.
